Ibuprofen Related To The Causes Of Heart Attacks

-Ibuprofen causing a higher chance of a heart attack-

One of the most popular pain killers in the UK has shown to increase the chances of heart attacks.

Recent studies in Denmark have shown how ibuprofen is associated with a 31 percent increase of making the heart stop.

Other painkillers related to this are also presenting a similar danger, according to recent searches. These pain killers are known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This also includes diclofenac, which was available over the counter until 2015. It raises a risk of a heart attack by 50 percent. This begins to raise concern as these painkillers are mostly prescribed to patients.

A heart expert, Professor Gunnar Gislason, who led these studies has said: “Allowing these drugs to be purchased without a prescription and without any advice or restrictions, sends a message to the public that they must be safe.”

He has advised for people to not take more than 1200mg of ibuprofen, in one day, as too much of this is harmful, dangerous and will higher the risk of a heart attack.
